Dream Eze is an organic cotton fitted diaper with two “inserts” sewn in like a tongue. Being a fitted diaper, it requires the use of a separate cover. It doesn’t appear that this diaper is being made anymore which is a shame because, since fitted diapers can be quite expensive, I like it for a lower cost fitted option. I got this diaper in a mystery grab bag and I’m glad that I got the chance to try it.
This is a sized diaper and the one that I have is a medium, which should fit babies between 12 and 22 pounds. The diaper seems very small when you look at it and you wonder if there’s any way that it will fit your baby for any length of time, but the elastic is stretchy and the diaper is surprisingly adjustable. The last time I used this diaper K was about 20 pounds and it fit him just fine and it was snapped on the smallest setting. For us I think this diaper would meet or exceed the 22 pound limit.
Update: I used this diaper for the first time in almost 2 months last night and it fit well on the second setting (K is 21+ pounds) but it didn’t hold up to a 12 hour night. You could still use it, of course, but I would recommend using an additional booster to get you through the night.
With the two tongue flaps sewn in you get a good amount of absorbency for daytime use and you don’t have to deal with touching the dirty part of the diaper to unsnap the insert. The trade off is that it takes a long time to dry, especially along the seam where the inserts are sewn in.
- No inserts to unsnap
- Organic cotton
- Good fitting without needing adjustment snaps
- Four rows of waist snaps
- Trim fit for a fitted diaper
- Hard to remove stains
- Long drying time
- Not absorbent enough for overnight use without extra doublers
- The cotton is pretty stiff
This diaper retails for $19.95 USD but you will likely be able to find them for quite a bit less than that since they’re no longer being made.
