When I was choosing an item from ecoStore’s catalog to review, I recently been made aware of a pretty alarming study that found known or suspected carcinogens, including formaldehyde in several popular bath products for babies and children. As a parent, I surely do not want to expose my children to potentially harmful chemicals. ecoStore’s label is pretty clear when it states that there are “No Nasty Chemicals” in their products or their packaging so my choice of items was pretty easy to make.
EcoStore baby shampoo
My first impression upon using the baby shampoo was that it smelled almost like a Halls cough drop. As I have used it more it smells less like a Halls and has fresh smell. It isn’t an overpowering scent or too perfumy. When I kiss K’s head after his bath I’m not overwhelmed with the smell of perfumes. His hair just smells clean. I don’t like strong scents and prefer that scented products smell more natural, which I think this does.
EcoStore baby body wash
The body wash smells similar to the shampoo but not as strong. It is a low lathering body wash and I do find that I have to reapply in the middle of bathing. (Note: this could be because I am so conditioned to think that clean means suds)
