>I mentioned the week before last that I had two phone interviews in another state. I’m not ready to get back to corporate life yet but I AM ready to move out of this state. SO incredibly ready! So my rejection email for one of them came with a bit of “oh, bummer” and relief at the same time. And a bit of annoyance since the scripted email said something like, “we’ve decided to move ahead with candidates whose qualifications more closely meet the job description”. Err, the job description and title are the same job that I did for over four years! I guess I can’t be too bummed out though since these interviews mean that there’s something in my resume that made them at least want to talk to me from several states away.
Half-heartedly attempting to jump back into the workforce has reminded me of what I ultimately would like to do and I have refocused my energy back to my original goal of being able to eventually work from home. It has caused me to dust off my coding books and start taking my online classes again. It’s been so hard with a wildly rambunctious sixteen month old that I can’t tell you the last time I took one of my classes, but at about 10:30 last night I hid away in the office and took one. It felt good! I think I’ll do it again today.
