I love the ease of flip flops but have a hard time wearing them. I have low arches and after about a half hour or less in flip flops my arches are on fire. Due to walking differently to compensate for my aching arches, my calves then start to ache. So I think it’s safe to say that for the most part, flip flops and I don’t get along very well. When DAWGS approached me about a review, I could choose any pair of shoes but decided to choose the navy and lime green rubber sole flip flops and hoped for the best.
Given my previous flip flop experiences, I had my doubts that a rubber sandal would be comfortable for any length of time. I opened the box, put them on and headed out to run some errands and I confess that I brought another pair of shoes with me just in case. Imagine my surprise when I ran through the grocery store schlepping 24+ pounds of toddler on my back in his carrier and then through Target without a single ache in my almost non-existent arches. I was sold! I have another pair of similar flip flops from a bigger known brand that makes similar rubber shoes and I have to say, these are more comfortable.
I think these are on the smaller side so if you’re a half size or close to it I would consider sizing up. I’m a small 6 and usually have a little room to move in my shoes, but as you can see in this picture, they fit me just right.
