Henry has a condition called Chrono Displacement Disorder which causes him to involuntarily travel through time. Henry travels to places in time that are important to him, even if he doesn’t know this at the time. The book is about Henry and his wife Clare who, to him, he met when he was 28 and she was 20. To her, they met when she was 6.
I read this book about four years ago and I loved it. I don’t typically read books that would be considered a love story, but this is one with a twist. It was a unique, sweet story that kept me reading. The story alternates between Henry and Clare’s point of view and you get to really know how multiple characters truly feel and think.
I have recently learned that this book is going to be a movie which doesn’t come as a surprise. I only hope that the movie does the book justice.
*Note: I guess the movie came out a few years ago *blush*. I have to admit that I don’t have much time for movies anymore and am pretty out of touch with what’s out. I didn’t know I was this out of touch. Haha! I guess I need to rent it to see if it did the book justice.
I love this story too. But I must be confused. I thought they already made a movie of this. It’s the one with Rachel McAdams and Eric Bana wasn’t it? I still haven’t watched it but its on my list.
You know, it’s very possible that it’s already out. I’m pretty out of touch with the movies these days *blush*. I’d think that I would have noticed this one but it’s very possible that I didn’t!
Ha ha! I think it is because I put it on my Netflix queue so I could watch it. I still haven’t, lol. But now it would be interesting to see how it compared to the book
