Cloth Diapers, Oh How I Love Thee

Cloth Diapers, How I Love TheeIt’s hard for me to wrap my head around how I could possibly be addicted to diapers. Say it out loud and hear how silly it sounds. But it’s true and I’m not alone. Not by a long shot!

What is it about cloth diapers that makes countless moms (and some dads) plan what diapers to buy with their next paycheck? Or join Facebook groups and online forums about diapers? Flock to blogs to enter cloth diaper giveaways? Or even crazier. . .blog about cloth diapers?

Cute fluffy bums. I admit that the biggest thing I love about cloth is how cute they are.

Easy to use. Just as easy as disposables, if not more so.

Less mess. You end up with a lot less leaking and blow outs.Less expensive. Even when your addiction kicks in and you start to wonder if you’re really saving money.

Resale value. Try selling some used Pampers.

Eco-friendly. Disposable diaper companies would like to make the argument that cloth isn’t more environmentally friendly because we use more water and electricity to wash them. That’s silly since much more electricity goes into running the huge machines that are used to manufacture disposable diapers that will sit in a landfill for hundreds of years than my extra 2-3 small loads of laundry per week.

Empowering women. Lastly, cloth diapers help create business opportunities for women and stay at home moms. From the biggest names like Tereson DuPuy and Jennifer Labit to the mom down the street selling diapers on Etsy.

There is so much to love about cloth. Check out the reasons why other moms love cloth by visiting the Linky below.

It’s so true! I’m one of those crazies starting a site about cloth diapers too! LOL.
I am new in this space and just researching my bum off at that the moment; this is the only post I’ve seen with a reference to empowering women. I had no idea about Tereson DuPuy and Jennifer Labit… wow! Thanks so much for including that in your post! I’m newly inspired! :-)
