I received a complimentary product in exchange for my honest review.
Healthy snacks for your family aren’t always easy to find in the aisles of your grocery store and sometimes going to a natural foods store isn’t an option. Because of this I am loving that more companies are starting to come out with healthy monthly subscription snack boxes. Simply sign up and have delicious snacks delivered to your door every month.
One of those companies is Boxtera. I recently had a chance to review one of their monthly snack boxes and I am excited to tell you about them.
When our box arrived it included five bags of healthy snacks. We received banana ribbons, honey almond crunch, wasabi bean medley, BBQ banana chips, and mango chews.
These were soft and chewy, not like a banana chip that is so readily available. To me it tasted a little over-ripe but my three-year-old loved them. I am a bit fussy about bananas and other fruits and what I consider to be their peak ripeness; others may not be as fussy as I am. My son sure isn’t.
Honey Almond Crunch
These were very tasty! Slightly salty and sweet without being too sweet. It has almonds, dried fruit (pineapple, apple, and cranberry), and honey sesame sticks. We all enjoyed this snack.
Wasabi Bean Medley
This is an interesting one. There is a variety of dried, puffed beans with a wasabi coating. They are very tasty and not too spicy. My husband wished there was more wasabi on them whereas I thought it was just the right amount.
BBQ Banana Chips
Okay, I admit that these sound a little weird. This was the snack that I was most nervous about trying but they really are very good. They taste almost like barbecue chips. The banana flavor is very subtle so the mix of flavors doesn’t come off as strange at all.
These were my three-year-old’s absolute favorite! He ate all but two chews in two days. If he could have eaten the two that my husband and I tried then he would have! It’s hard to find mango slices without sugar on them so we never buy them even though my son loves mangoes. These don’t have sugar so I may have to order these by the pound for him to snack on!
