In this day and age, it might be hard for some of us to believe that not everyone is on the social sharing bandwagon. In our case, my in-laws are almost technophobic. They aren’t very well-versed in computers or the internet and do not use social media at all. They don’t even use email or text messaging that well, so for them, we send them actual printed photos of our kids. Now that I have discovered the PicCollage photo collage app, this is even easier!
So many of us use our phones as our main cameras so your photos are usually right there already. In my case, I do use my DSLR a lot but the best photos are usually uploaded to my Facebook page and it only takes a second to save them from there to my phone, then I can load them right into the PicCollage app. PicCollage is a fun app available for your mobile phone that allows you to make fun cards, photos, collages, and more to share to social media or print.
The templates are an easy and fun way to choose a holiday card to create right on your phone. You can then share it to your Facebook page, Instagram, or even print them and put them in the mail for your family and friends who prefer a physical card.
For the example I am going to show you, we are using photos from Dub’s fifth birthday. In about two minutes, I made a cute birthday collage to print and send to my in-laws.
I chose some photos from my phone of the absolutely adorable little birthday boy (I may be a little biased). The photos I chose didn’t fit in the original collage set up, but that was a simple fix. If you don’t like the way your photos look in a particular collage you can tap the screen and change the order of the photos or the collage set up.
Now that you’re happy with your collage, it’s time to share or print it.
How to print your photos
- Once you have the collage that you want, click share.
- You will then set up your page settings.
- The default paper size is 5×7 so if your paper is larger or smaller you will need to find your paper size and select it.
- Find your printer, then click print.
You will then have the collage printed out to keep, frame, or give to family and friends. You can even ship them right from the app!
I have been so lazy about sending out holiday cards over the past few years and have been making collages and sharing them on Facebook. Now with PicCollage, I just might get some holiday cards sent out this year!
