Each Friday I am going to post a recipe that we had during the previous week. For my first Foodie Friday, I’m choosing last night’s dinner, homemade chicken pot pie. This is a family favorite. The original recipe is this one from allrecipes.com. I didn’t adapt this recipe very much except to add about a teaspoon of thyme and maybe a ¼ – ½ tsp of Lawry’s seasoning salt to the sauce mixture. We also usually use leftover roasted chicken instead of boneless chicken breast, but it’s good either way. My pre-teen exclaimed while entering the kitchen while this was cooking, “Who killed me and sent me to Heaven? It smells so good in here!”
