When you have a blog you never know when inspiration will strike you. Using our smartphone is a great way to blog and manage our social media on-the-go and having a great collection of apps to help you achieve that is a must. These are my eight go-to apps that I use the most for blogging.
All of the apps and links that are included are for Android devices. I am sure that most or all will be available to iPhone users as well.
This is kind of a no-brainer. You can’t blog on-the-go without your blogging platform. You can approve comments, reply to comments and even edit or write a post if you need to.
I have tried several analytics apps and this one is by far my favorite. Just about any stat that you would want to look up on google.com/analytics can be found in this handy little app.
If you are a blogger then you probably have a Facebook page and the Facebook app on your phone, but Facebook Pages Manager makes managing your Facebook page much easier than the standard Facebook app. You are automatically signed in as your page as soon as you open it so no more accidentally posting to your page as yourself. It also makes scheduling posts, seeing notifications and replying to your fans easier. You can also toggle between multiple pages if you have more than one blog page.
4. Google Drive
I keep my spreadsheet of upcoming and completed reviews and sponsored posts in a spreadsheet on Google Drive. Also many sign up sheets are now sent through Google Drive. The app has a very easy interface and is just as functional as the online version.
Sometimes you get a great blog idea while you’re in the car or the grocery store. If you don’t jot it down you may forget it if you’re anything like me. ColorNote is a very simple, no frills notes app. I also use it for grocery lists and a number of other things that I may forget.
Manage multiple Twitter and Facebook accounts, but more importantly, you can schedule your social media posts.
PhotoGrid is a fun app for creating collages. This is a nice app to have for posting photos to Facebook and Instagram.
If you are concerned about protecting your photos from thieves this is a great app for adding a watermark to your photos before posting them on your social media channels.
What apps can you not live without when it comes to blogging and managing your social media?
