A lot of people have an image of Colorado being a snowy wonderland. In the mountains this can be true but here in the plains it snows but it doesn’t stick around for very long. It is usually gone by the next day but can often be gone in just a matter of hours.
This weekend we got probably about 6″ of light, fluffy snow and it was cold enough for it to stick around for a few days so we were able to have a good time playing out in the yard yesterday.
We got plenty of snow back in New England but it was a different kind of snow. A thick, wet snow that wasn’t much fun to play in so this is one of the first times that K-Dub has been able to truly play in the snow. I think he liked it.
Between the snowball fights between Red and The Husband and just running around in this fluffy white stuff, he could barely contain his excitement. Even if we don’t get more snow this winter that stays long enough to enjoy, his winter has been made.
While he may not be big enough to join in snowball fights just yet doesn’t mean that he didn’t try.
Now this is a winter that I can enjoy. Not much snow but just enough to have fun in for a day or two before it’s gone again.
How is the weather where you are? Have you had many opportunities to play in the snow?
