I have received the Nutrisystem program free of charge in exchange for writing about the program and my progress. All opinions expressed are my own.
Phew! This past week has been so much better! Now that I am no longer following the Fast Five part of the program I am so much happier since I am no longer hungry. I am now able to add other foods other than vegetables to the plan so instead of just eating a (small) muffin for breakfast I can also have a fat-free or low-fat yogurt. I can have three Powerfuels and a Smartcarb per day in addition to better tasting meals and a dessert.
The frozen meals that I’ve had so far have been quite good and the non-refrigerated boxed meals have been decent. So far there have only been two meals that I don’t really want to eat again; the meatloaf and the chicken alfredo. They’re edible but not enjoyable for me.
My lunch today was a red beans and rice Nutrisystem entrée and a slice of a nice multigrain bread that I bought at the grocery store.
I have to say, grabbing a meal and popping it in the microwave has been a nice break from cooking every night. Luckily my husband is perfectly capable in the kitchen and has been doing the cooking for himself and the kids.
My weight loss this week was 3 pounds for a total of 6 pounds.
