I participated in an Ambassador Program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting Brancott Estate Wines. I received product samples to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation.
I have to admit that I am not a wine drinker straight out of the bottle but I do love Sangria and cooking with wine so we always have some on hand. Now that the weather is warming up it’s Sangria time!
I was excited to receive two bottles of Brancott Estate Flight Song wines to review. A Sauvignon Blanc and a Pinot Grigio. Brancott Estate Flight Song wines are 20% lighter in calories which makes them the perfect choice for my Skinny Sangria since I am currently on a weight loss regimen. Aren’t we always?
While I was gathering my ingredients for my Sangria I tasted the wine on its own and it was light and fruity. The Sauvignon Blanc has hints of pink grapefruit and passionfruit with a ripe lemon and the Pinot Grigio has floral notes with nashi pear and sweet lemon as well as white peach a guava. Both are perfect for a fruity summer Sangria.
I chose to use the Sauvignon Blanc for this particular Sangria. It is nice and refreshing with the fruit.
Even if you aren’t a Sangria fan and just want to have a nice glass of wine with dinner, Brancott Estate Flight Song wines are a great choice. The sip I had out of the bottle was quite tasty to this non wine drinker and I may just save the bottle of Pinot Grigio to have on its own.
Now for the Sangria recipe. You can choose to make this with real sugar if you choose but since this is a Skinny Sangria, there isn’t any sugar added.
