This post is written on behalf of King Soopers. I received a promotional item as a thank you for participating.
Groceries are a huge chunk of a family’s budget but there are ways to maximize your savings. Not only can you use coupons and shop sales but you can also save money on gas. We save by shopping at King Soopers and participating in their fuel points program. We get a point for every dollar that we spend on the groceries we buy every week, but that’s not all.
Get prescriptions filled
Having a child with ADHD means trips to the pharmacy every month for his prescription. We were using a pharmacy chain until one day when they didn’t have enough to fill Red’s prescription. While at King Soopers for our usual grocery shopping we decided to try their pharmacy for his prescription and we were pleasantly surprised to find that we also get fuel points. Now King Soopers is our pharmacy of choice.
Buy gift cards
When it comes to giving gifts to family members back in New England the easiest choice is sending them a gift card. King Soopers has a great selection of gift cards to choose from and we earn two times the gas points by purchasing them at King Soopers instead of a retailer. It’s the gift that gives back!
Keep track of your points
You can get up to $1.00 off your gas purchase with King Soopers fuel points. I don’t usually wait that long but do like to let my fuel points add up to at least $0.30 off per gallon before I redeem them. In addition to the bottom of the receipt, the King Soopers app is a great way to keep track of our points. The next time I go to fill up at the pump I will save $0.40 per gallon.
As an added bonus, now through July 27th earn two times the fuel points every weekend, Friday through Sunday.
