Week eight was the week before last and I gained about a half pound. Ugh. I know that I wasn’t behaving so I wasn’t surprised but I was pretty frustrated with myself. Honestly, it was the result of poor planning on my part. The weather was nice so we ate out at a local buffet (yeah, don’t do that when you’re on a weight loss plan) and a few other cheats here and there.
I have been craving different foods that I hadn’t had in a while which I think was contributing to my slip-ups. Quite a few of the Nutrisystem meals taste very similar. A lot of pizzas and tomato sauced based meals so I was just a little bored. It happens and I just have to dust myself off and get back on the horse.
My favorite meal during week eight was the Cavatelli with Broccoli and Pesto. I added a white turkey meat hot dog (40 calories) since the kids were having hot dogs and they smelled good. It was reminiscent of mac and cheese with hot dogs.
Time to shape up and follow the plan better during week nine…
