I’m not a coupon clipper. I find the task to be tedious and I don’t use even a fraction of the ones that I clip so they just collect at the bottom of my purse. This doesn’t mean that I don’t shop with coupons though! I use them online and have apps that allow me to use them in some local stores. One of the stores that I get the most bang for my buck with paperless coupons is Walgreens.
My birthday was this past Thursday and with every year that passes I get more grumbly about them. I know it’s silly but now being a woman of a certain age it’s just not sitting well. To make myself feel a bit better about yet another anniversary of the year of my birth I wanted to pick up some new make up and, of course, hair dye. I checked my Walgreens app for coupons before shopping and found that they had just what I was looking for! Mascara, foundation, and hair dye are just what the doctor ordered.
Not only did I have the paperless coupons for these items but the hair dye was on sale, to boot. This was shaping up to be a great day!
It’s so simple to clip Walgreens paperless coupons. You first have to get a free Balance Rewards card and then download the Walgreens app to your smartphone. Within the app click on the icon for the weekly ad and coupons and then click again where it says to clip coupons to your Balance Rewards card. Scroll through to find all of the available coupons and then “clip” them. The coupons will then go straight to your Balance Rewards card and will be redeemed automatically when you check out with that item. Once the coupon is used it will be deleted from your list since you can only use each coupon once.
Now that I had some new goodies to make myself feel pretty and younger my husband took me out for a much-needed birthday dinner. He asked if I wanted him to make me a birthday cake (have I mentioned that he’s a keeper?) but instead of gorging on cake for the next few days I decided that I would prefer a slice of good cheesecake. With that we drove up to Boulder to the Cheesecake Factory and had a fabulous dinner and even more fabulous cheesecake. Thank you #WalgreensPaperless for making my birthday even happier!
