In honor of my 7th anniversary today, I would like to introduce you to a tradition that my husband and I have. On our first anniversary, my husband and I gave each other gifts from the Hallmark list of traditional anniversary gifts. That year it was paper and clocks so I got my husband his fishing license and a printed gift certificate to Cabela’s for fishing gear while he gave me a metal wall clock with a pendulum. It started as a bit of a joke that has turned into a tradition for the past seven years.
It’s a fun tradition that has its challenges when you have to come up with a gift made of wool for a man who runs hot, but that’s all part of the fun. The traditional gifts for anniversary number seven are copper and wool, while the modern alternative is desk sets. If you also follow this tradition and are stuck on what to get for your husband or wife for your 7th anniversary, here are some fun ideas that I came across while looking for my own gift ideas.
11. Copper cookware
12. Copper DVD
For the less traditional couple, I love the idea of the wool family and the love birds. What a sweet gift to display on a bookshelf, mantle, or desk.
7. Wool scarf
8. Wool socks
9. Wool hat
10. Wool sweater
11. Wool beanie
12. Wool by Hugh Howey (SciFi novel)
13. Wool gloves
The modern alternative for a 7th anniversary gift is desk sets. No one says that it has to be an entire set; a pretty or fun desk accessory would make a nice gift.
6. Golf pens
