Holy Molar! #MMM

I wish I could say that I’ve had an exciting week full of adventures but the reality is that I’ve been way too tired! You see, K-Dub has been working on all of his molars for the past few weeks and it’s been a little rough. The two bottom ones are in now but the top two are still working their way out which has made this past week really hard on everyone. None of us have had much sleep and we’re all a little cranky.

As hard as it’s been on us being sleep deprived, at least we’re not sleep deprived and in pain. But man is it hard to get up every 2-3 hours at night and then listen to him whine for a good portion of the day. I have two amber teething necklaces on him and have been giving him ibuprofen every 6 hours and we’re he’s still miserable. He has had some difficulty eating as well and has been eating a lot of yogurt and bananas. I can’t wait for them to finally break through and I’m sure that he can’t either!

Do you have any tried and true tips for lessening the pain of teething?

I have blog design envy.

Tried and true tricks for lessening the pain of teething? Beer.

Oh, you meant for the baby? Nope.

Thank you. I am pretty pleased with how it came out.

Yes, beer. Or whiskey. I heard that a shot of whiskey (or was that a little on the baby’s gums?) is supposed to help

I’m with Lori! LOL. We are in the same boat only Fuss only has 1 molar through now and is working on the other 3. She was a hot mess today too. Everything made her cry. She also recently lost her amber necklace and we aren’t replacing it…yet. If I can convince hubby, she’ll have another because she’s making me batty! Good luck.

A hot mess is a good way to put it. The boy made a liar out of me though. He was beside himself all morning and I told my husband in an email that he wasn’t having a good morning. My husband decided to duck out of work early and work the rest of the day from home and K was pleasant as can be for the rest of the day. Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad! But he made me look like a drama queen 😉

I’m in the same boat too! My daughter was MISERABLE last week. She seems more like herself now, but her molars still haven’t cut, so I don’t think it’s over. 🙁

I know a lot of us CDing Mama’s are all about natural remedies but for bad teething pain I always turn to ibuprofen/tylenol. I have twin boys getting 6 teeth at once, I feel ya Mama!

Haven’t got to the molars yet. All I know is that teething is not fun!

Some people have had success with the teething rings that you put in the fridge. Can you put the amber in the fridge? The cold might be soothing….but I’m all for whiskey! For both of you!

We’re not at the teething stage yet, but I’m eagerly reading these comments to learn strategies ahead of time. I’ve seen the Amber necklaces but wasn’t sure if they were worth it. Hope your little guy is feeling better soon.

this is so tough-my little guy has been going through this too! i don’t have amber teething necklaces but some people have said they work…so i may try one on him! otherwise i freeze washclothes for him to chew on and give him lots of teething toys,.
