◄ Is this you or maybe your spouse? My husband is the one trip king. It doesn't matter how many bags there are or whether each bag weighs one pound or fifteen. He will do all he can to get everything in the house in one trip no matter what. A potential back injury is of no concern to him.
Enter the Mighty Handle.
When I was given a set of Mighty Handles to review I immediately thought of my husband. He could make carrying groceries an Olympic sport. Granted, over the review period he was too stubborn to use the Mighty Handle but my thirteen year old son and I did.
What is the Mighty Handle?
The Mighty Handle is a plastic hook that you put the straps of your grocery bags on to make it easier to carry multiple bags at once.
Have you ever had your heavier grocery bags dig into your fingers? I hate that. With the Mighty Handle you don't have that problem because you're holding onto a handle instead. It also made distributing the weight of the bags a little easier by putting about the same amount of weight on each side of the hook.
My thirteen year old also found it easier to carry bags in and since it was a novelty to use, he was much more eager to help. Bonus!
I intentionally loaded my bags up to be pretty heavy so I could see if the Mighty Handle would bend or start to give under the weight. As you can see in the photo above, it handled the pressure quite well.
What was inside?
Some bottles, jars, cans, and a watermelon. Now normally I wouldn't carry a watermelon in a bag like this but as a test it worked out well. The point is that I could carry a watermelon in a bag with the Mighty Handle if I wanted to.
An interesting little nugget of info, the Mighty Handle has made it to the next round in Wal Mart's Get on the Shelf competition.
