How to See Posts from Your Favorite Facebook Pages

It isn’t just Facebook page owners who have noticed that pages aren’t showing up in their Facebook news feed as much anymore. Posts that are considered promotional in nature are taboo according to Facebook, but what does this mean for you, the reader?

It means that the Facebook pages that you have liked to be alerted of sales and coupons or your favorite recipe blog won’t show up in your feed. If you’re a giveaway fan, those posts are also suppressed. Pages posting their own content are suppressed for being too promotional, but if you share someone else’s content on your page then it is shown far and wide. Of course sharing fun, interesting, or funny articles from other sources is great, but you may not see that particular page’s own content that presumably you want to see since you liked it in the first place.

Maybe you liked your child’s school’s Facebook page to keep up with what has been going on, or your favorite local store for inventory or sale information. You are probably not seeing those posts in your news feed, but now you can. Here’s how.

How to See Posts from Your Favorite Facebook Pages

Choose the See First option

If you are on a computer, you can choose this option by hovering over the Liked option and it will reveal a drop-down menu. Scroll down and choose See First and they will (presumably) show up in your news feed more often.

If you are mobile then you will click on the Following option to choose See First

Make interest lists

The other option is to make an interest list. This is my method of choice for most Facebook pages so that my news feed isn’t cluttered and I don’t miss posts from my friends. Only a few pages are in my main news feed and I check my interest lists daily to catch up on things that the pages I am interested in have posted.

This option is located in the lefthand sidebar where your groups and other things are listed. To make a list click on the More link next to where it says Interests, then click on “Add Interests”. Type in the name of the page that you want to add to a particular list and save it.

Now you can control your news feed so that you see what you want to see instead of what Facebook allows you to see.
