I received a complimentary product in exchange for my honest review.
I have a weird thing for soaps and detergents. I don’t know what it is but I am kind of obsessed. I also adore handmade soaps and would love to learn how to make it myself one of these days. Until then I am perfectly happy to try the wonderful soaps that others are making. When The Simple Soap asked if I would review three bars of their organic handmade soap my response was a resounding yes!
First let’s look at this amazing packaging. The bars of soap are in these adorable little pouches. There isn’t a plastic wrapper on the soap at all, the bar is right inside this pouch. I love the elimination of the plastic since, especially in this case, it’s just not necessary. Plus I can reuse these pouches for other things. I’m not sure what yet, but maybe lip gloss and other small items that seem to get lost in the bottom of my purse.
Now let’s talk about the soap. I received three beautiful bars of soap: organic Comfrey Lavender, organic Island Spice, and organic Cool Citrus Scrub. They all smell amazing! I’m not just saying that either, every one of them is out of this world. It’s hard for me to pick a favorite of the ones that I received but since it’s now fall, I’ll go with the Island Spice.
Not only does it look and smell fantastic, the bars are so smooth. They lather up nicely and feel good in my hand. These bars are thick so they will last a long time, too.
Honestly, I don’t have anything negative to say about The Simple Soap at all. Great packaging, high quality scents, lathers up nicely, and it’s all organic and handmade. I am very intrigued by some of their other scents as well. Especially Citrus Spice which combines two of my favorite scents, Rosemary Dill which sounds a little odd for a soap so I have to know what it smells like, and Creamsicle because how amazing does that sound?
Each bar of The Simple Soap is $8.00 each (some bars are currently on sale for $6.99) but this bar is going to last a long time! I have barely made a dent in my first bar. You could also save a few bucks by getting a subscription of two or three bars for $14.99 and $19.99 respectively.
