It’s September so you know what that means, right? You are now officially going to be bombarded with all things fall, red and gold, and, of course, pumpkin spice! One of my favorite trends is rustic fall farmhouse decor.
It’s still 85-90 degrees here in Denver and I have to say, I’m pretty over the heat now. Even so, I’m not going to let that stop me from ushering in the prettiest season and the most fun time of year for decorating. Is anything homier than fall decorations on the porch or entryway? I think not.
If you have been on Pinterest at all recently, you may have noticed the popularity of farmhouse decor. It’s everywhere you look it seems and I’m really digging it. It makes me think of the smell of yummy things baking and it looks so clean and crisp.
In a way, it also reminds me of home. Even though the farmhouse style isn’t a New England style per se, it definitely has a place there among the colonial farmhouses, porches, and fall colors. I have to tell you guys, I have been rather homesick lately so anything that even remotely reminds me of New England is pulling me in. For this reason, I have been looking for some fall farmhouse decorating inspiration. I hope you are as inspired by these ideas as I am.
You have some great ideas and take wonderful photos. You have a sharp designing eye.
Fall is my favorite season, i love everything about it. All of the colors, smells, and tastes. I sent your link to my aunt, she loves decorating for fall too, these are right up her ally.
Oh, good! I hope your aunt gets some good inspiration. I am looking forward to adding some fall flair to my own house soon, too.
