How to make a patriotic tissue paper roll eagle
You don’t have to be an artist to make this eagle craft because the template is already made for you. Just cut out the template, gather your supplies, and create!
For each bald eagle toilet paper roll craft, you will need the following supplies that you can find around the house, at any store, or online:
Supplies:
- Bald eagle craft template (download and print)
- Toilet paper roll
- Construction Paper
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Ruler
- Glue
- Googly eyes
Instructions:
1. Collect all the listed supplies and print the PDF bald eagle craft template. Use the templates to trace and cut out the pieces from construction paper. * NOTE: If you don’t have construction paper, you can use regular printer paper and print out the colored template.
2. Glue the brown and white rectangular pieces of construction paper to the top and bottom of the tissue paper roll. Allow the glue to dry.
3. Glue the eagle’s collar around the tissue paper roll over the white part. Slightly roll the neck fringes around a pencil to make the curls.
4. Make a slit on the beak along with the line on the templates. Fold and glue the slits together.
5. Glue the beak on the eagle’s face.
6. To make the wings, glue the top points of the wings together and keep the bottom part spread to look like feathers. Make a small fold at the top of the wing so they will stick out from the eagle and glue the wings on the sides of the tissue paper roll.
7. Finish the eagle toilet paper roll craft by gluing on two googly eyes to complete the eagle’s face.
The best part about this craft is that you probably have most of what you need at home already, so you can get started today. The kids will sharpen their cutting skills (no pun intended) and get ready for the 4th of July at the same time.
