Ever since winning my first set of wool dryer balls in a blog giveaway about a year ago, I have been a little obsessed. They’re wonderful because you can soften your clothes without the use of smelly chemicals that are found in dryer sheets and liquid fabric softeners.
There was a time in my life that I did want to smell like a spring breeze (whatever that actually smells like), but now the harsh scents in commercial detergents and softeners bother me. They smell too fake for my taste.

In addition to softening your clothes without chemicals and being much more cost-effective than dryer sheets and liquid softeners, there are other reasons to love dryer balls.
- They cut down on drying time by up to 25%
- Safe to use on cloth diapers
- Helps reduce static and wrinkles
I was excited to be able to review a new (to me) brand of wool dryer balls, Woolzies. Woolzies are a generously sized felted wool dryer ball that comes in a set of six balls. Most dryer balls come in sets of four, so this is great because the more dryer balls you use, the more energy-efficient they are.

Between regular laundry for a family of four, one of those four being a cloth diapered toddler, I am doing at least one load of laundry almost every day. I have been impressed with Woolzies. After a few weeks of frequent use there are no signs of pilling and wear, my laundry is softer, and my drying time is shorter.
I’d love to have these because I’m all about saving money by reducing my drying time. I, too, really can’t stand the chemical smell of the “standard” dryer sheet!
Have not tried these before but I would love to decrease my drying time
I like that you can leave them in the dryer to be used for 1000 loads!
I love that there are no chemicals, they last up to 1000 uses (longer), they are reuseable, and eco friendly.
I’ve been wanting to try these for a long time! I love that they have no chemicals and are safe for cloth diapers. Plus, anything that saves me money is great!
I am trying to get away from using chemicals in my house and these would be perfect for my family’s laundry!
I really want to win some Woolzies to try! I’m hoping they last for a long time!
I’m interested in using Woolzies to cut my drying time!
I would love to try the Woolzies Dryer Balls on my cloth diapers:) they’d cut down drying time in the dryer during the winter months when I can’t hang them out on the line!
I love that it cuts drying time which helps with electricity bills
I like the fact that I would save money with these! Love natural things that work!

Using sheets is costly. I’m all four saving money.
I too enjoy having eliminated chemicals from our dryer and decreasing the likelihood of a fire since our lint screen doesn’t have residue on it.
That’s a great point that I never considered!
I love how they cut down on drying time by 25%
I am in LOVE with my Woolzies! Love their “non-static” tip too…make an aluminum foil ball about the same size as a Woolzies ball and toss it in with your wool dryer balls in the dryer load. It does not damage your clothing (the heat makes the ball smooth) and it actually works! I tested this with a dryer load full of towels and they came out static free!
I love wool balls. They help dry your clothes faster
Ooh, I’d love to win a set of these!
I like that they dry my clothes faster without chemicals, last for a long time and cut down on static and wrinkles!
I would love to use these as a natural fabric softner! They are great
I had heard that dryer balls cold save drying time but I didn’t know that they can also help soften clothes. It would be great not to use fabric softener!
I would like to try these out sounds like they could save me on my electric bills.
I’ve always wanted to try these things!
