In honor of my anniversary and trying to find the perfect 7th anniversary gift, I would like to introduce you to a tradition that my husband and I have. It all started on our first anniversary when my husband and I thought it would be fun to give each other traditional anniversary gifts each year.
Traditional gifts for the first anniversary are paper and clocks so I got my husband his fishing license and a printed gift certificate to Cabela’s for fishing gear while he gave me a metal wall clock with a pendulum. It started as a bit of a joke that has turned into a tradition for the past seven years.
It’s a fun tradition that has its challenges when the traditional 7th anniversary gifts are copper and wool. Coming up with a gift made of wool for a man who runs hot is tricky, but that’s all part of the fun.
If you also follow this tradition and are stuck on what to get for your husband or wife for your 7th anniversary, here are some fun, unique, and practical gift ideas for him, her, and for a couple.

A gift made of copper is the traditional gift for the 7th anniversary. This may seem like a hard one, but there are many great options if you think outside of the box.
What says forever better than the infinity symbol? This beautiful infinity necklace made of copper is a great 7th anniversary gift for her and is sure to let her know that she will be yours not just for seven years, but forever.
Add a little style to your decor with this rustic, modern wall clock for him or her.

The other traditional alternative for a 7th anniversary gift is wool. It may seem a little boring to buy your significant other a pair of wool socks and call it an anniversary, but this list will give you some ideas beyond socks and sweater.

My husband and I had just one end table for our bed. It’s an old table that he inherited from one of his grandmothers and it has served its purpose, but we wanted something a little more modern. After months and months of looking I couldn’t find what I wanted. I wanted end tables with…
I had my first child at 26. I always assumed that I would have one or two more but things just weren’t meant to be with my son’s biological father. After we split up when my son was just shy of a year old, I was single by choice for the next five years. During…
Confession time: I am not much of a crafter. It’s not that I don’t want to be one, I’m just not. Most of my problem is that I don’t have a heck of a lot of patience. You don’t say?! Yup. I do say. However, I do love to have cute decorations around the house for…
After seeing the magazine cover that is setting the interwebs abuzz, I decided that I would like to voice my opinion on the matter. Then after seeing this week’s Breastfeeding Blog Hop topic, I decided to use this cover as the inspiration for my post because they truly are one in the same. My breastfeeding…
