Every year we get our house decked out for the holidays on December 9th, the day after Red’s birthday. We like to make each time separate and special, but it also doesn’t leave me with a lot of lead time before Christmas gets here. In addition to Red’s birthday and getting the house holiday-ready this year, I also had to get ready for company. My mother was coming to town from New England for a visit for Red’s birthday this year instead of Thanksgiving so I went to get some cleaning supplies that I needed at Sam’s Club. I love when I am able to get all of my holidays essentials in one place and save a lot of money at the same time.
To make things easier, I ordered my everyday essentials online and chose the Club Pickup option. It was so simple. I added my items to my cart, chose a pickup time, and that was it! Sam’s Club sent me an email and text message when my order was ready the following day.
After picking Dub up from Pre-K the following day, we took a ride to Sam’s Club to pick up our order because he loves to go to Sam’s Club. I picked it up at the kiosk right at the front of the store after choosing some more holiday decorating items in the store while we were there.
In addition to Swiffer Dusters and Tide Pods to get my house company and holiday-ready, I realized that I had to replace a few strings of lights for our Christmas tree. I also wanted to do something with our buffet for a change and I was happy to find everything that I needed in one place.
Our new lights are perfect. Nice and bright and since I got them at Sam’s Club, the strings were longer than you get at the discount store. Three strings were more than enough to cover our full nine-foot tree.
For my buffet, I found a gorgeous pre-lit garland with bows, pinecones, and ornaments and some LED candles. It accents the room perfectly and is perfect for Christmas appetizers and egg nog.
I lit my tree and decorated my buffet all for only $100. Sam’s Club members who take advantage of purchasing participating holiday essentials at Sam’s Club will save about $97, which frees up more money in your budget for holiday decorating and gifts for the family. What would you do with an extra $97 in your pocket?

I would buy myself a Ninja Bullet or Nutri Bullet system.
By saving money on my Everyday Essentials I could purchase a nice cookset I have been wanting to get to help with my holiday cooking.
I would use it to buy new pillows and sheets for my bedroom!
I would use it toward a new computer. My PC is over ten years old and I am surprised it still functions.
I would buy myself a new mop and other cleaning supplies! The cleaning product aisle is like the toy aisle to me! 🙂
I would buy more items that we need such as toilet paper, cleaning supplies and groceries.
We would TRULY get everyday essentials. Like my son’s shake mix, cereal, laundry soap, and the cascade dishwasher pods we love at Sams. Also, we get their trail mix, hand soaps, baking goods and nuts…love their cashews! Our card just expired and others are trying to get us to go to the “other” warehouse store. Why fix something that isnt broke?
I could use a few new clothing items! I’ve been pregnant most of the last 5 years, it seems and almost everything is maternity! Yikes!
I would buy a new purse or wallet.
I would put it toward a blendtec blender or stick blender
