I have been chosen as a LeapFrog Ambassador and I am beyond excited. I have been a huge fan of LeapFrog products since Red was a baby fifteen years ago and we have continued the love with Dub. I can’t wait to tell you guys about new products and all kinds of fun stuff with reviews and a holiday gift guide. I hope you’re as excited to find out about the new things that are coming out from LeapFrog as I am.
As part of the LeapFrog Mom Ambassador program, they jumped right in and sent us a package of a few new and amazing things that have just come out. I received the following products free of charge for review and promotional purposes. I will be doing in-depth reviews of each product once we have had time to play with them, but here is the first sneak peek into what is new from LeapFrog.
We received our box and Dub couldn’t wait to dive right in! Freya kitty, however, was rather indifferent to it all. This is what was in the box:
The first thing out of the box was the LeapFrog Word Whammer.
This is a really cool product that looks kind of like a Bop It. Your child turns and pushes the handle to learn their letters, twist for letter sounds, and build and learn words. It also helps kids get ready for Kindergarten which is perfect for us since Dub is starting Pre-K this fall. Ages 4-6
Next out of the box were three packs of Imagicards. We received PAW Patrol (ages 3-5), Letter Factory Adventures (ages 4-7), and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (ages 5-8). These are digital interactive cards to be used with the coinciding games that you download to the LeapPad Ultra, LeapPad2, LeapPad3, or LeapPad Platinum systems.
At the bottom of the box was the pièce de résistance, the LeapPad Platinum learning tablet. Red had the original LeapPad when he was little and this one is a whole different animal. It has a 7″ Hi-Res Multi-Touch screen, WiFi with a Kid Safe web browser, access to over 1000 games, interactive gameplay with the Imagicards, rechargeable battery, 5+ hours of battery life, 8GB memory, a shatter-safe screen and more. (ages 3-9)
We have been having a lot of fun playing with our new LeapFrog toys and will have full reviews of both the LeapPad Platinum with Imagicards and the Word Whammer coming up very soon! Spoiler alert: we approve.
