How to make a Little Red Riding Hood paper plate craft

You don’t have to be an artist to have fun making this craft because the Little Red Riding Hood craft template is already made for you. All you have to do is cut the pieces of the template out on a thick piece of paper, trace onto colored construction paper, and glue everything together. 

For this fairy tale paper plate craft, you will need the following simple, easy-to-find supplies.

Gather all of the necessary supplies and use the PDF template to trace and cut out the pieces for the characters.

Glue the top hair onto Little Red Riding Hood’s head, then glue the head onto the hood/cape.
Glue the braids to the side of her head.

Use colorful markers to draw the face. Cut out the pieces of the basket and glue it together.

Glue the basket and the handle over the front of the cape piece, then glue both of the hands onto the basket as if Little Red Riding Hood is holding it. 

Make rest of the characters. 

Glue popsicle sticks on the back of the characters.

Select your plastic or heavy-duty paper plate. Make a long slit along the bottom using scissors on the bottom edge of the plate.

With the slit at the bottom of the plate, arrange the house and trees in the background how you want them, then slide the paper puppets through the slit.
